Questions
The ones we are asked most, answered plainly. Where an answer is a rule rather than an opinion, the page that states the rule is linked from it.
What does Turtle Labs sell?
Two different things. Software you use yourself, which is BrandOS, WebOS and Shell. And work done for you by Turtle Labs Studio, which is branding, digital, advertising and creative.
They are not the same arrangement. Software is a subscription. Studio work is scoped, quoted and agreed before it starts.
Does a software subscription include design work?
No. That is the most common misunderstanding and the one worth being blunt about.
BrandOS tells you what to change about your brand. It does not make the change. Naming, identity, collateral and campaigns are Studio work and are quoted separately.
Is Shell charged per person?
No. Every Shell plan is priced per workspace, never per seat.
Charging per person makes a studio think twice before giving a freelancer access, and then the freelancer works outside the system and the system stops being true.
Solo is Rs 3,999 a month, Studio is Rs 8,999 and Business is Rs 17,999.
Is tax included in the price I see?
Yes. We are not registered for GST, so nothing is added at checkout and nothing further is charged afterwards.
Can I cancel?
Yes, whenever you like, and stopping prevents the next renewal. The period already paid for runs to its end.
The refunds page says what is refundable and what is not.
Is advertising spend included in a retainer?
No. Media spend is separate from the Turtle Labs fee and is paid to the platform, not to us.
Who owns what I put in?
You do. Your answers, your files, your clients’ records and your projects stay yours, and closing an account does not transfer anything to us.
The software, the scoring methods and the marks stay ours. The ownership page sets both out.
Do you use AI, and can I rely on it?
Some features use models, and where a page is produced by one rather than by a person it says so before you pay.
Read the output before you use it. A score, though, is not a model output: the brand scorecard and the website audit are scored by rules we wrote, which is why the same answers always give the same score.
