A site does not decay all at once.

It decays one deploy at a time. Someone ships a hero image nobody compressed, a script gets added for a campaign that ended in March, a heading loses its contrast in a redesign. No single change looks like a problem. Six months later the site scores twenty points below where it did the day you fixed it.

Watch re-runs the audit every week and tells you what moved. That is the whole idea.

Join the waitlist Run the free audit instead

Not open, no payment taken, and nothing about your site is being recorded today. The audit is free and working now; Watch is what would come after it.

The work

What it would do

Four things, all of them the same audit you can already run, repeated and compared.

1

Weekly re-audit

Re-runs the audit weekly and tells you what moved

2

Regression alerts

Alerts when a deploy regresses performance or accessibility

3

Progress against the plan

Tracks the score against the fix plan so progress is visible

4

Competitor benchmarks

Competitor benchmarking against six sites in your category

The benefit

Why it is worth paying for

A one-off audit tells you where you stand. This tells you which direction you are moving, which is the more useful of the two once you have fixed the obvious things.

You find out in a week, not a year A deploy that costs you a second of load time is cheap to undo the week it happens and expensive to find six months later.
The fix plan stops being a document Every audit produces a ranked list. Watch scores against that list, so you can see the plan being worked through rather than filed.
It answers "compared to whom" Six sites in your category, measured the same way on the same day. A score on its own is hard to act on; a gap is not.
Nobody has to remember to check The work of monitoring is remembering to do it. That is the part worth automating.

Free the audit itself, always The one-off audit stays free and complete whether or not Watch ever exists.

Be aware

The part we have to change first

Our privacy notice says today that we keep no record of what has been audited, and that asking us to delete an audit is not something we can do because there is nothing to delete. That is true and it is deliberate.

Watch cannot work under it. Comparing this week to last week means keeping last week. So before Watch runs for anybody, that notice changes to say what is stored, for how long, and how to have it deleted, and anybody on this list is told what it says before being asked to pay.

Until then nothing is retained. Joining this list stores your address and the site you named, and nothing else.

Tell us if you want it

We build this when enough people ask. If that is you, this is the way to say so, and it is the only thing on this page that does anything.

One email if it happens, and we will not write about anything else. We do not audit the site you name here; run the free audit if you want it measured today.
